Being a transfer student leaves me with less of an
opportunity to hear about the classes on campus and what they are all about, so
coming into EDM310, I really did not have a clue what to expect. Upon hearing
the teacher say we have to write blogs, I got a little nervous. I, personally,
do not see myself as a good writer, much less blogger, so this class is pushing
me out of my comfort zone. I expect this class to be unlike any other I have
had in the past considering most of my courses have consisted of the generic
college course, i.e,. Math, Biology, English, etc. I look forward to this class,
though, because of its useful information. I do worry that I may not be as
technologically advanced as I thought, but I know that with the help of the
instructors, and numerous frequently asked questions, I can conquer this course
and better my future classrooms’ way of learning. The information I gain from this
class with help me to assist students with their technology in class, as well
as, use the technology to teach lessons more effectively, while still keeping
the children’s attention. I am more than excited about it all! I know that if I have any questions or trouble with the work, Professor Tashbin, Dr. Lomax, and the lab assistants are only an email or phone call away and will be more than willing to help out.

ReplyDeleteHi Payton!
DeleteNo worries, I believe that I am just as nervous about this course as you are! I have never been a heavy blogger myself, so this will definitely be a learning experience for me as well. As for your writing, you are doing great! I have read both of your posts so far and have come to find that you write quite well! If you ever feel the need for any assistance, the Writing lab is free (better yet, included in your tuition) and they are always there to help! I agree with your point on still keeping the children's attention through the use of technology. Technology seems to be an important part of every child's life today, and what better way to keep them engaged than to use something that already holds their interest?
I wish you the best of luck for this course! I'm excited to see all that it has to offer for our future in the education field!
